 Klay Thompson Shooting Workout

At the age of 23, shooting guard Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors is already a three-time NBA All-Star. He was selected with the 11th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, and he's already proven his worth on both ends of the floor.

One thing that separates new players from veteran players is their workout regimen. The NBA is a young man's league, and if you can't keep up with the younger players, it doesn't matter how good you are because they will find a way to pass you.

Klay Thompson Full Shooting Workout

In this article, we'll go over some tips that 'The Great Klayman' uses as part of his regular workout routine. He's one of the best shooters in the NBA right now, and he has achieved this level of skill by putting in hours upon hours of hard work on the court. This is no easy feat; not everyone who works out at an elite level becomes an elite player in their sport. But when it comes to Klay Thompson, it seems like everything he touches turns to gold.

Klay Thompson's shooting workout is a combination of several different skills and drills that he does. He's not just out there shooting for the sake of shooting, he's out there working on a few different aspects of his game that he wants to improve. He's constantly refining his shot, and it shows in the numbers he puts up from the field.

The first thing we're going to look at is his free throw routine. This is one of the most important parts of his workout, since if you can't hit free throws, then how are you supposed to make shots with defenders around you? There are many different elements that go into a good free throw shot: form, strength, mental focus and consistency. However, even the most skilled free thrower has off days. In those off days, you need to be able to find a way to still get the ball in the hoop.

Klay's Free Throw Routine

To do this, Klay uses a specific routine so that he can make sure every shot that he takes is  good as it can possibly be. When you watch Klay Thompson at the free throw line, you'll notice that he always shoots from exactly the same spot on the court. The NBA has rules in place with regards to where a player may stand on a given time of play. These rules are designed to ensure fairness and evenness in competition and not favour one player over another.

But when it comes to Klay Thompson, the NBA wanted him to be able to stand in a given spot on the court so that he could get used to shooting from there. So now, when he's at the free throw line, you'll notice that his feet are always at a specific spot on the court. This is so that he can work on certain parts of his shot and still make sure it's legal.

Klay also has a set routine for how he shoots free throws. He starts by having the ball placed at a specific mark on the floor. His coach then tosses him the ball, and Klay takes two dribbles towards the basket before shooting. He then takes two more dribbles back to the three-point line before he shoots. As a result of practicing this move over and over again, he was able to make sure that every shot he took was as good as it possibly could be.

An interesting aspect of Klay's free throw routine is what he does with the ball after each shot goes down. Notice how he always takes a dribble after his first shot? That is because Klay Thompson knows what the rule is when it comes to shooting a second free throw from the same spot. The NBA will start count if you take two or more dribbles with your second free throw attempt from the same spot in game play.

Klay Thompson's Second Free Throw Routine

To make sure that he can still make a shot, Klay takes two dribbles towards the basket before his second free throw is taken. He then takes two more dribbles back to the three-point line before he shoots. This helps him to make sure that he has absolutely no room for error when it comes to shooting a second time from the same spot.

Once Klay gets over there, you'll notice that he focuses on form and technique like never before. He keeps his eyes up, tracks the ball and makes sure that he gets a good shot off when it matters most. When he's practicing, Klay Thompson focuses on consistency and form. But when he's in game play, he focuses on mental focus; he knows that if he wants to be the best that he can possibly be, then every shot that he takes must go in the basket no matter what.

Klay Thompson is a far superior offensive player than most people think. He knows that he has to improve every aspect of his game to be a more complete player and to get better results on game day. It is important that you develop your own shooting routine and stick with it every single time you have a chance to shoot the ball. One of the best shooting routines is the one that Klay Thompson uses. It has been tweaked over the years, but it has always been consistent for him.

It helps Klay to be successful in his shooting game because he always knows what to expect from his routine and that gives him more confidence to shoot whether it is practice or game day.

The Consistency of Klay Thompson's Shooting Routine.

Klay's routine is very consistent and that helps him to be successful. It doesn't matter if he is practicing or he is playing against the best defenders in the league, Klay has one goal in mind and that is to be successful with his shot.

He knows that he will not get every shot in the shooting game, but if you take care of business on your end, good things will happen for you. You have to learn how to stay confident even when something does not go your way.

If you make a shot, but then miss a few straight shots, don't let it affect your confidence. Stay focused on the task at hand and do your best to knock down those shots. No one can keep it going all of the time, but a young player can always learn how to stay confident.

The key is to rebuild your focus once you have lost it when something does not go right for you. Klay Thompson has done a very good job of being consistent with his shooting routine and he never changes it up when he is in a game or practicing.

I would say that he prides himself on doing things the same way over and over again because there is less of a chance that he will lose control. Confidence comes from being consistent and practicing consistently .

He always starts out with a few different dribbles to get himself psyche for the job. He then gathers his legs underneath himself to combine speed and balance.

He doesn't want to use the excessive amount of dribbles before the shot because he needs to save some energy in case he needs those dribbles on defense or if his team gets in a tough situation.

We've gone through history and put together what we believe were some of Klay Thompson's incorrect decisions in basketball games, as well as how much money those wrong shots would have made for him if they went in.

 Conclusion

After doing some research, I have written about the Klay Thompson shooting workout. It is said that the Golden State Warriors’ star shooting guard, Klay Thompson, and his trainer Drew Hanlen embarked on an intense shooting training program that lasted for about three months.

This workout consisted of Thompson continuously doing single-handed shots from 30 feet away and he only moved to change direction when he felt comfortable with the shot. In addition to practicing this type of training, Klay also went out to do more extended shooting sessions where he didn't stop until his arm started to get tired or his accuracy decreased significantly.
